Easy Mexican Rice

A shared recipe from a wonderful coworker!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Mahatma long grain white rice

  • 4 oz Hunt’s tomato sauce

  • Chicken Flavor Bouillon (green jar)

Instructions

  1. Place enough oil to cover bottom of non-stick pot and place over medium heat.

  2. Pour in the rice and stir until lightly browned.

  3. Pour in the tomato sauce and stir for about a minute.

  4. Add 3 cups of water and bring to a boil.  If doing 2 cups rice, use 5 cups water.  Add 1 teaspoon chicken powder for every cup of water.

  5. Reduce heat to low/medium, cover and cook for about 20 minutes, until water has been absorbed and rice is nice and fluffy.
