Seasonal Wall Decor

I’ve already told you about my odd obsession with dumpster diving to use old pallets for up-cycled home decor and other projects, so this should be no surprise! A while back we were at lumber liquidators and the store owner mentioned that he had a bunch of old pallets in the back which were being picked up by the trash collectors soon in case we wanted to check it out. Maybe I should’ve been offended that he pegged us for the people who would want to sift through their old garbage? But nah, we were honored!!

Bryan found this awesome pallet which was more unusual – the planks were close together and the whole thing just had a really nice farmhouse look to it. Maybe you’ll get lucky like us, but if not you could definitely recreate this look with a normal pallet, filling in larger gaps with more planks and giving the whole thing some sanding/staining treatment.

We hung it up on the wall in our dining area, and added a little metal hook so that we could hang a wreath there and swap from season to season – love it!
